The serial number on this guitar is MZ1077349 which means it was made in 2001-2002 in Mexico.
All the way around it is in good cosmetic condition but it does have a couple of boo-boos on it.
The tortoise shell pick guard is not original to the guitar and it has a small blemish on it near one of the screw holes.
There is a dent on the body on the front edge on the top cut out.
There are light picking scuff marks on the body above the pick guard.
There are a couple of tiny scuff marks on the back here and there, but nothing major like scratches or dents.
I buy, fix up, sell guitars and when I list them, I put everything I know about the guitar in my ads, that way there are no surprises when somebody comes to buy them.
There was something odd about this guitar when I received it.
When I would use the tremolo system, the springs were actually rubbing on the body inside of the cavity and making a popping noise.
I could see the springs being bent when the tremolo was being used.
After evaluating, and considering the best way to correct this problem, I decided to chisel out some of the body on the inside of the cavity so that the tremolo system springs would work properly.
So included in the pictures but only on my Craigslist ad you will see a before and after picture of the tremolo cavity.
They show where the wood was chiseled out.
After this was done, the tremolo system works properly and achieves drop silence without any popping or unusual noises.
The fretboard is in great condition, and the frets don’t have much wear on them at all.
You can see from the pictures, once again on the Craigslist ad, that the first two frets have some indents from the strings.
The rest of the frets are all in pretty good condition.
I know all that was rather lengthy, but it needed to be explained.
The good part is the guitar plays excellent and everything works properly on it.
I ended up doing a complete set up on it, but I did not change the strings out because they were still in good condition.
I cleaned and oiled the fretboard.
I adjusted the tremolo system to the proper level, and once again it does achieve drop silence when used.
I adjusted the saddle heights as low as they would go without any fret buzzing and this thing has excellent action.
Which means it is super easy to play.
The neck is adjusted properly to the string tension and it is nice and straight.
All the tuners turn smoothly.
All the electronics work with no crackling or popping noises when turned.
I adjusted the pick up heights, so that the volume levels are equal when switching through all five position selector with the volume on 10 and the tones set on 5.
The stand is not included in the price, nor is it for sale.
