The Environmental Services Director is responsible for efficiently managing housekeeping/laundry operations to maintain the nursing center in an orderly, clean, and sanitary condition.
The work requires considerable familiarity with housekeeping/laundry equipment, the use of cleaning supplies, and solving operational problems.
Position Highlights
*Lead, guide and direct the environmental services staff to include hiring new employees, orientation of new hires and performance management.
*Schedules and plans the housekeeping/laundry workflow and employee assignments.
*Diagnoses the cause of malfunctioning equipment and maintain appropriate records.
*Orders and requisitions supplies through approved process.
*Assumes responsibility for budget planning and cost control of the housekeeping and laundry departments.
Requirements:
*Must possess a high school degree or equivalent as well as supervisory experience and experience in housekeeping/laundry.
*Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our patients and visitors and to be able to respond to their medical and physical needs.
Compensation: $18 - $20 / hour
