Looking for a fun summer job that you'll never forget? The Town of Hope Mills needs Summer Camp Counselors and Supervisors for its 2024 Summer Camp Program, operated through the Town of Hope Mills Parks & Recreation Department.
Hope Mills Summer Camp Program consists of eight weeks of camp, From June 10th – August 2nd, for children ages 5 to 12.
Camp daily hours are 7:30pm – 6:00pm.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
OverviewSummer Camp Supervisors provide onsite leadership for and plan, organize, lead, and direct activities of the Town of Hope Mills Summer Camp program; they work directly with activities in a variety of settings, assist campers and parents, provide information and services, and maintain and manage a safe, secure, and enjoyable atmosphere for all.
All applicants must be available to work weekdays (Monday through Friday) from June 10 through August 2, 2024, (with the exception of June 19th and July 4th), and approximately 30 hours per week.
Applicants must also be able to attend all required staff training sessions prior to the beginning of camp.
Job FunctionsSummer Camp SupervisorsProvide overall daily supervision of camp operation, counselors and campers Provide a thorough level of communication with parents, camp staff, and HMPR staff.
Directs daily/weekly activity scheduleCommunicates camp needs, and supply requests to HMPR Assistant Director.
Assist with planning and implementing staff orientation and lead staff meetings Maintain camper registration, daily check-in/check-outFacilitate all Disciplinary Actions when neededEnsure the safety and well-being of campers by providing high quality risk management at all times.
