SUMMARY
The Materials Team Lead is responsible for developing and ensuring proper execution of processes to enhance the materials management capabilities of US Cargo Systems.
Specifically, the role will be responsible for stocking, issuing, and shipping of parts and materials in the facility.
This role will be responsible for training and directing work within the warehousing department.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and maintain methods and systems associated with material handling.
Liaise with other team leads and supervisors to ensure schedules meet customer requirements.
Identify opportunities to optimize inventory control while meeting customer driven shipment requirements.
Train material handlers to ensure standard operating procedures are being followed effectively.
Monitor technical requirements and communicate them to the inventory management group.
Ensure that parts/materials are issued to production on time to meet target delivery dates.
Responsible for processing and maintaining proper inventory documentation.
Ensure that parts/materials are properly packaged and processed when shipped out of the facility.
Identify areas of opportunity related to inventory management, safety, quality, and cost savings.
Identify Excess and/or Obsolete material/components and drive actions to disposition.
All other duties as assigned.

Must have the ability to obtain a US export License under ITAR regulations.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
Must have a minimum of 3 years related experience and/or training.
Team Lead experience is required.
Supervisory experience is preferred.
