Duties
Assist the Business Manager in directing the operations and supervision of multiple food service facilities.
Checks work in progress to ensure compliance with established methods.
Orders and receives supplies, stores and stocks supply items in all assigned facilities.
Assist Business Manager in the selection of employees and in training new employees to work situations, compliance with health and safety standards, and proper use of storage of tools and equipment.
Completes cash reports, and makes daily deposits.
Requirements Conditions of Employment Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.
Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
A one year probationary period may be required.
Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.
2.
Incumbent may also be required to complete a Tier 1 background investigation for a Common Access Card for physical access to federally controlled facilities.
The ability to obtain (within first six months of employment) and maintain a Food Protection Manager Certification acquired through an American National Standards Institute (ANSI) accredited agency is required.
Ability to work an irregular schedule which may include nights, weekends, holidays, and split shifts.
May require lifting and carrying supplies that weighs up to 45 pounds.
Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: Work experience directly related to the duties to be performed.
Demonstrated work experience must be equivalent in complexity and difficulty to the next lower pay level.
Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, stressful environment.
Must possess good interpersonal and communication skills.
Possess a certificate for sanitation in food service or have the ability to obtain the certificate within three months of employment.
Highly Preferred Qualifications In addition to the qualifications above, highly preferred applicants will possess the following: Basic knowledge of Catering events.

Minimum of 2 years in similar positions.
Experience in working for large events with 200 guests or more.
Experience supervising more than 10 employees.
Highly Preferred experience must be reflected on your resume.
Applicants meeting the highly preferred criteria will be considered best qualified.
Eligible candidates who meet the highly preferred criteria will be referred to the selecting official first.
