Position Title: Developmental Test Technician Lead Department: Strategic Services Reports To: PMCP Team Lead Location: Ft.
Bragg, NC PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF POSITION: Provide support for research and development programs, performing a variety of technical services requiring operational or technical knowledge of military Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Combat Systems, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C5ISR) systems; electronic countermeasure (ECM) systems; and Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) systems.
The ECM systems may include countermeasures for Improvised Explosive Devices (IED), Radio Controlled IEDs (RCIED), and Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS).
The EOD systems may include the same ECM systems and other related countermeasure systems.
MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Direct team(s) of technicians to support the testing, integration, and fielding of ECM and communications solutions.
Conduct supervisory tasks to lead Zero Point’s USSOCOM technical support team.
Read, comprehend, and execute technical process specifications, procedures, and standards in accordance with vendor provided documentation.
Attend and participate in test design meetings, teleconferences or meetings as required.
Attend vendor provided training or; read, comprehend, and execute technical process specifications, procedures, and standards in accordance with vendor provided documentation.
Attend any designated security, safety, or facilities training as required by the government.
Design, build, and operate required test instrumentation for the test event.
Operate candidate hardware of a developmental, prototype, or critical nature.
Operate test facility vehicles, platforms, or man-carried systems as required.
Troubleshoot hardware or assemblies; check and modify systems or fixtures.
Implement employee health services (EHS) processes and procedures; recognize safety hazards, including hazardous materials, and pursue corrective action when necessary.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Current TOP SECRET clearance and eligible for Sensitive Compartmented Information Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, IT, or related technical field, or at least 10 years’ experience.
Five or more years’ experience performing testing and assessments of radio frequency, electronic countermeasure systems, and C5ISR systems.
Extensive familiarity with military terminology, concepts, and operations (prior military or contractor preferred) Knowledge or operational experience of: C5ISR, ECM, UAS and EOD systems.
Knowledge of RF, IT, and cellular network fundamentals (Global System Mobile (GSM), Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA), Wideband CDMA (WCDMA), Long Term Evolution (LTE) or other Universal Mobile Telecommunications Service (UMTS) technologies).
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Adobe software products.
Associate’s degree in electronics, IT, or technical related fields of study (may be substituted with 5 years of engineering experience-civilian or military technical related fields) Proficiency of TMDE systems; multimeters, oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, power meters, etc.
DAU Program Management Level 1 Certified DAU Test and Evaluation Level 1 Certified WORK ENVIRONMENT Work may be performed in an indoor or outdoor environment, office, and on occasion, deployment to remote test sites; both continental United States (US), and on occasion, outside the US.
Deployments from the test facility are typically no longer than one to two weeks in nature and well planned out ahead of time.
Worksite is rudimentary, clothing is typically outdoor work attire, and occasional formal attire may be required for briefings/meetings and will be specified by supervisors in advance.
