We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Restaurant "Shift Lead" to join our team at WOB Bar & Kitchen.
This Key employee will be responsible for leading a shift for WOB (World of Beer) location, the ability to meet or exceed established shift goals and the ongoing development of World of Beer Staff.
While not a manager, an extension of management in the location - and a great place to learn management skills for your career.

Primary Responsibilities: Primary focus should be put on leading a successful shift, the acceptable attainment of building sales and exceeding goals for a shift, the development and growth of World of Beer hourly staff, the ongoing established World of Beer quality of operations.
Qualifications and Job Requirements: 2-3 years of previous hospitality/food service industry experience that resulted in success.
Ability to lead a team in a positive way.
A history of only the highest levels of restaurant cleanliness, safety, and sanitation standards.
Understands how to lead the flow of the shift productively and successfully.
A Food Safety and Alcohol Awareness Certification is required within 30 days of being hired, as required by state law.
Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
Physical Requirements While performing the duties of this job, a WOB Shift Lead Employee is regularly required to talk, hear and see.
This position includes the ability to stand for periods of time up to 10 - 12 hours in a shift and have the ability to be able to taste, smell, stoop, bend, stretch, kneel reach, carry, push and lift up to 50 pounds without restriction.
Ability to verbally communicate with all employees, customers and phone callers in English.
Duties/Requirements for Shift Lead Employees Technical Skills Ability to successfully lead a team of hourly employees on a shift.
Understand all FOH stations & some BOH stations within a WOB well enough to train a new WOB*Star on that station.
Be able to navigate the Operations Manual to find listed standards.
Maintain on-going knowledge of spec/standard of every station within a WOB to the level that you could understand when a standard is being followed.
Complete Certified Training Program Expert on Responsible Vending and Safety and Sanitation policies.
Ensure they are followed for everyone’s safety.
Has accurate and safe cash handling procedures.
Relationship Skills Thoroughly communicate all pertinent information to management team and staff.
Lead hourly employees effectively with respect and clear direction.
Ensure adequate staffing and shift planning; interact with staffing pars, interviewing, training and development, while maintaining an on-going focus on labor cost effectiveness.
On-going training & development, support, counsel, advice and assistance to all staff members.
Train all employees 100% in adherence with WOB Training Programs.
Provide feedback.
The ability to redirect behavior when needed.
In compliance with all policies in Employee Handbook and WOB programs.
Professional and ability to lead by example.
Business Skills Lead the flow of the shift using the “Compass” method.
Ensure that only the highest levels of cleanliness, food safety and sanitation standards are always upheld.
Able to open or close the WOB successfully and safely for business.
Follow safety practices/controls.
Promote the WOB Brand and support and advertise community-based event events.
Be punctual with all required or assigned reporting responsibilities.
Ensure that the WOB is always in compliance with prevailing federal and local laws and WOB programs.
Ensure customer or employee satisfaction and prompt problem resolution.
Pay: Variable Hourly Wage Reporting Relationship: Managing Partner / General Manager To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily.
