What will you do as a PMC Practice Manager As a PMC Practice Manager, you will serve as an essential part of the patient’s experience by providing practice leadership, supervision, scheduling, and daily management of your assigned practice.
While ensuring a smooth and efficient operation of the practice to include, but not limited to, hiring and training staff, working with the physicians on a daily basis, monitoring and controlling costs, assuring accurate and timely charge capture and edit/error work queue resolution, and overseeing staff productivity.
A day in the life of a PMC Practice Manager may include: Supervising and motivating staff by promoting a team approach to problem-solving, team development, and goal setting within assigned areas.
Performing management functions including interviewing, hiring, training, and evaluating staff.
Counsels employees regarding employment, performance, promotion, and termination in accordance with Human Resource policies.
Ensures clinical staff practices within the scope of their respective licensing/certifying boards.
Serve as a role model to set the standards of behavior, professionalism, and outstanding customer service in all relationships with internal and external customers.
Facilitates troubleshooting and follow-up to ensure effective provider, staff, and customer and peer relationships.
Help maintain patient flow and workflow.
Work collaboratively as a team member of the clinic staff to provide a high-quality and efficient service to patients and the clinic.
Adhere to the established controls of quality, compliance, and risk standards for the day-to-day operations of the physician practice(s).
This includes management of supply chain activities including the ordering of supplies and maintaining inventory, ensuring adequate and cost-effective coverage of location(s) during office hours, times of full staffing, and during staff and physician absences.
Revise staffing coverage and shifts as needed.
Work with all other managers, supervisors, coordinators, physicians, administration, and staff from other PMC locations for the betterment of the corporation.
Participate in quality improvement team efforts, including meetings to discuss quality assurance improvement initiatives.
Oversee, monitor, and maintain the physician template to ensure adequate coverage of all necessary office areas.
Troubleshoot relevant schedules for conflicts and resolve issues.
Lead monthly section meetings and bi-monthly practice staff meetings (record and submit minutes) and any other mandated seminars, training, and/or meetings.
Maintain an adequate presence within the office to ensure the smooth operation of all areas and the coordination of all staff.

Preferred Qualifications Prior supervisory experience in a health care organization or physician practice desired.
Knowledge of Meaningful Use and PQRS, is a plus.
