Registration Supervisor

Sampson Regional Medical Center is hiring a Registration Supervisor to join the Hospital Registration team at the Sampson Regional Medical Center! Description: The selected applicant will organize and oversee department schedules to ensure shifts and staffing levels are flexed according to departmental needs and patient volumes.
Responsibilities include: identifying and addressing disciplinary issues in a contractive and educational manner; assist in the creation and distribution of educational material to ensure staff maintains compliance; responsible for overseeing of all inpatient accounts to include auditing and reviewing, verifying insurance information, assisting with completion on financial assistance applications and perform other tasks as assigned.
The selected applicant will streamline, improve, and implement registration and financial counselor processes.
Requirements: High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
Notary Certificate, required.
A minimum of two (2) years in Hospital Patient Registration role: Registrar I, Registrar II, or Financial Counselor.
Good customer service skills, involving answering phone and handling customer inquiries.
Medical terminology experience and education preferred.
Medical coding experience preferred, certification not required.
