*Job Description*
*Guidelines to follow when on duty*
Applicant must have a minimum of high school diploma or equivalent, Pass a drug test, Driver’s License, be able to read, write, obtain a criminal background check, and be trained in CPR / First Aid, NCI, Bloodborne Pathogens.
PAWS (post-acute withdrawal syndrome), MARS and other training we provide to ensure the safety of our residents.
The House Manager is responsible for the supervision of clients in Residential, and/or Sober living setting.
The House Manager shall provide a safe, supportive, and caring environment in which the clients will continue their recovery.
The House Manager is expected to cooperate as a team member
1.
Uphold and enforce the agency’s standards, policies and procedures, code of conduct, and rights of persons served.
2.
Manage and supervise clients by enforcing program rules and guidelines.
Staff should be leading by example and following same rules and guidelines of residents.
3.
Maintain overall upkeep and cleanliness of assigned facility.
4.
Responsible for supervision of daily house chores and check rooms to make sure they are the way they are supposed to be.
5.
Report all health and safety hazards and facility and/or vehicle maintenance/repair problems to the Admin Office.
6.
Monitor and record client medications according to agency policies and procedures.
7.
Monitor and report client behavior with medication side effects.
8.
Provide safe, supervised, client transportation to scheduled off-site activities (12-Step meetings, outings, physician appointments, and recovery-related activities, etc.
)
9.
Responsible for checking Kitchen, make sure all burners are off and kitchen is secure.
10.
Maintain accurate monthly vehicle safety inspection and mileage records.
11.
Conduct random client urinalysis drug screens, breathalyzer and document accordingly.
12.
Immediately document and report critical incidents, behavioral incidents, and medication errors to Supervisor & Director.
13.
Participate in mandatory ongoing Health & Safety training as scheduled.
14.
Participate in scheduled Human Resources training sessions.
15.
Conduct residence orientation to new clients that includes reviewing safety drills and locations of fire extinguishers, emergency evacuation diagram, exit routes, evacuation procedures, and first-aid kits.
Check air filters, fire extinguishers and smoke detectors.
Fire and disaster drills need to be done on EVERY SHIFT!
16.
Responsible for client attendance of daily recovery activities as scheduled.
17.
Conduct weekly client house meetings to discuss internal conflicts, review house rules, accept requests to see physician, review appointments for upcoming week.
18.
Document incidents and fill out appropriate form.
19.
Gain thorough understanding of facility Safety Binder and document accordingly.
20.
Conduct emergency safety drills monthly on *EVERY SHIFT*.
21.
May provide suggestions to clients relating to personal experience, strength, and hope.
22.
Refer client to his/her therapist/counselor for psychological/emotional issues.
23.
Responsible for answering phone promptly and courteously, DO NOT give information about other people, if they are not here simply saying they are not here may I take a message.
24.
Responsible for taking up resident’s phone at proper time.
25.
Responsible to notify House Supervisor and Director is resident decides they are leaving the program.
26.
Maintain charts and filing.
(Every shift is responsible for filing not just one)
27.
Responsible for knowing where all residents are always.
Walk through every hour.
28.
Conduct yourself in a professional manner we are not here to make friends.
Uphold all HIPPA guidelines.
No one’s confidentiality should be broken.
That is a fire able offense.
29.
Law enforcement / probation officers may come on property at any time.
Be polite and cooperative.
30.
UNDERSTAND JUST BY WORKING HERE DOES NOT MEAN YOU ARE CURED.
ATTEND MEETINGS!!!
31.
Additional duties may be required if deemed necessary by administration.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $12.
00 per hour
