Assistant Director of Global Education, Methodist University, Inc.

May telecommute from anywhere in the US and report electronically to Fayetteville, NC campus.
Reporting to the Director of Global Education, providing advice and guidance to international students on personal, cultural and immigration concerns.
Utilize advanced knowledge in F-1 visa and work regulations and corresponding institutional policies.
Supervise Designated School Officials.
Liaise with university offices, student organizations, and community organizations to oversee recruitment and admission for international students.
Review and evaluate foreign academic credentials and make appropriate admission decisions.
Plan and implement special activities for international students (orientation, receptions, local trips, seminars and etc.
) to expand awareness of international issues and diversity throughout campus and community.
May also assume additional advising, administrative responsibilities as assigned in a multifunction office for international student outreach and support.
Assist faculty in the program development and student application process for short-term faculty-led programs outside the United States.
Build exchange agreements with other universities for semester-long exchange programs for domestic students to study abroad.
Work M-F 8 a.
m-5 p.
m.
Required to work evening and weekends as needed.
Required to be available as needed to address and resolve emergencies and crises on campus/abroad.
Supervise up to 7 employees (2 International Programs staff and 1 to 5 student employees).
Salary: $88,400/year.

Requires at least a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration, Economics, Psychology or related field or foreign equivalent.
Requires three (3) years of experience in a leadership role with international student support and services.
Requires up to 9 weeks per year U.
S and international travel for training, conferences, meetings and recruiting.
