You will support the Headquarters Department of the Army (HQDA) Office of Deputy Chief of Staff (DCS) G-2 Information Management (IM) Directorate, otherwise known as the Department of the Army Military Intelligence – Information Management (DAMI-IM), Chief Information Officer (CIO) in this important role.
DAMI-IM’s mission is to transform Army Intelligence into a Net-Centric, knowledge-based community through the development of policy and management of Information Technology (IT) integration, networking, assurance, initiatives, and programs.
You’ll be helping achieve G-2’s vision of putting intelligence into the Warfighter’s hands.
The Lead Enterprise Architect will support the Headquarters Department of the Army (HQDA) Office of Deputy Chief of Staff (DCS) G-2 Information Management (IM) Directorate, otherwise known as the Department of the Army Military Intelligence – Information Management (DAMI-IM), Chief Information Officer (CIO) in this important role.
DAMI-IM’s mission is to transform Army Intelligence into a Net-Centric, knowledge-based community through the development of policy and management of Information Technology (IT) integration, networking, assurance, initiatives, and programs.
You’ll be helping achieve G-2’s vision of putting intelligence into the Warfighter’s hands.
The Lead Enterprise Architect is responsible for all aspects of the development and implementation of the assigned project and provides a single POC for that project.
Responsibilities: Work you’ll do As a Lead Enterprise Architect within our Army CIO team, you will: Further define the operational IT requirements and develop a strategy of implementation coordinated through the Foundry technical team and the GISA technical team.
Provide a comprehensive definition of all aspects of system development, from analysis of mission needs to verification of system performance as well as performing evaluations of system alternatives and the assessment of risks and costs.
Collaborate and coordinate between numerous globally dispersed remote sites and a central information technology team (GISA), while directing and managing the overall integration effort.
Present information and briefings to all audience levels up through the Intelligence and Security Command (INSCOM) Directors, INSCOM Command Group, and Army Staff, as required, including conducting regularly scheduled updates to the Foundry Program office and the GISA stakeholders and DAMI-IM.
Develop, implement, schedule, and cost performance of the integration effort, and coordinate with other program/project managers (non-tech), following corporate and contract requirements, along with company policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Accurately document all system development activities, including specifications, architectural and engineering, SOPs, briefings, business cases, white papers, etc.
Support follow-on business associated with areas of responsibility and support new business development by leading major proposals personally, or through subordinate program/project managers.
Serve as technical liaison with subcontractors, vendors, and other industry organizations.
Assist in the proposal process and coordinate with the Pricing Department, when required.
Conduct all phases of the program budget and prepare staffing plans, including skill and labor mix, to support contract operations.
Allocate and assign staff and provide technical direction as necessary to complete tasks.
Monitor and control contract, subcontract, and funding; prepare forecasts of program financial performance, and develop and deliver required contract, departmental, project, and/or financial reports Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: Master of Arts/Science and 10+ years of experience Enterprise Architecture Practitioner Certification and 10+ years of DoD Enterprise Architecture experience Alternative to certification: 5+ years of DoD Enterprise Architecture experience within the Department of Defense and/or Intelligence Community Program Management Institute (PMI) Program Management Professional (PMP) or 15+ years of experience in IT Project Management and Service Delivery ITILv4 certification Active TS/SCI clearance required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Ability to successfully manage all aspects of a large-scale IT project, including managing requirements, cost, schedule, and performance.
Ability to achieve the timeliness of performance for services and product deliverables and demonstrate the capability of developing efficient and effective solutions in meeting requirements, and technical/mission needs from customers/sponsors/stakeholders.
Lead cross-functional and cross-organizational teams to meet the objectives of the project.
Manage and review project plans to plan and coordinate project activity.
Develop a deep understanding of business strategy and customer goals.
Proven ability to effectively distill key program requirements, program deliverables and methodologies, and business processes into clear, concise project plans and communications.
Use project management tools and technology to track program progress and provide regular reporting to management and other stakeholders.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Strong presentation skills.
Strong attention to deadlines and guidelines.
Experience developing internal processes across a variety of platforms.
Experience coaching and educating project teams to strengthen team members’ capabilities and skill sets.
