Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Manager to join our team at Carolina Powewr.
As the Accounts Receivable Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial transactions and ensuring accurate and timely processing of accounts receivable.
This is a key role within our organization, requiring strong knowledge of GAAP and corporate accounting principles.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the accounts receivable process, including invoicing, collections, and cash applications
- Monitor customer accounts for overdue payments and follow up on outstanding balances
- Conduct regular account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and resolve any discrepancies
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve billing issues and disputes
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve the efficiency of the accounts receivable process
- Provide guidance and support to the accounts receivable team
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry best practices and changes in regulations related to revenue cycle management and SOX compliance
- Prepare reports on accounts receivable activities for management review
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounts receivable or related financial roles
- Strong understanding of GAAP principles and corporate accounting practices
- Proficient in using accounting software and MS Office applications (Excel, Word)
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with customers and internal stakeholders
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in data entry and account reconciliation
- Ability to multitask and prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in the financial services industry
- Knowledge of debit/credit transactions and account reconciliation processes
