Gaston Brewing is a full service restaurant located in downtown Fayetteville, NC.
We are seeking an experienced Assistant Manager to join our team.
Ultimately, the job of the Assistant Manager is to work collaboratively with the General Manager to increase the productivity of the team through simplifying and building cost effective and efficient processes.
Accountable for meeting or exceeding sales volume, driving merchandising programs, and executing promotions -- while staying within budget, of course!
Some common duties include: greeting and serving customers and ensuring prompt service and satisfaction; inventory management; ordering restaurant items; leading team meetings; recruiting, training, and supervising employees; delegating work duties and maintaining schedules; general assistance in customer operations; maintaining a professional and courteous attitude; "filling in the gaps" when it comes to service (assist with bartending, greeting guests, etc.

); handling any customer complaints; and performing various administrative duties.

*Day to Day Responsibilities*
* Lead all aspects of restaurant operations in addition to planning and staffing on and off site promotional and special events while ensuring overall profitability.
* Provide customer service, answer customer questions, and address complaints.
* Oversee the balancing of cash drawers, record income and expenditures, and monitor inventory.
* Will develop an exemplary customer service culture that creates a memorable experience that our guests seek to repeat again and again by meeting the highest standards of service, cleanliness and speed of service.
* Manage, train and supervise staff, schedule FOH staff hours, and uphold standards of customer service.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
* Keeping the staff informed on any changes or improvements.
* Keep labor and food cost down and make necessary reductions in staff when volume is flat.
* Prepares and submits operational and financial statements to ownership team and accounting staff.
* Scheduled for 30-40 hours per week, Wednesday-Sunday
* Days off Monday & Tuesday
*Analysis and Strategy*
* Analyzing sales data to identify areas of opportunity to ensure we are staying within our operating costs.
* Works to find cost savings and inefficiencies in all aspects of operations.
* Analyzing product performance and relaying recommendations to the team
* Help control profit or loss by collecting, reviewing and performing all administrative duties in an accurate and timely manner including but not limited to daily cash controls and paperwork, weekly inventory and paperwork, period ending paperwork and staff scheduling.
Will monitor comps, voids and refunds
* Creating and maintaining process documentation
