SUMMARY
Instructors are responsible for providing quality, engaging, and college-level instruction in their specific field/discipline.
Instruction will focus on student success and retention using various teaching strategies and delivery methods.
Faculty are responsible for promoting the College’s mission and vision.
Examples of Duties
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to:
Design and implement appropriate and meaningful instructional activities, incorporating latest instructional and interactive learning technologies
Possess the knowledge, skills and experience to provide effective instruction in concepts and principles as they relate to the field of instruction and ensure that content covers approved competencies
Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient classroom/lab
Evaluate student performance and provide students detailed feedback to help improve performance and maintain student learning outcomes
Use the college’s student information system and college approved retention software to assist and retain students
Complete, in a timely and efficient manner, all required college records including attendance and grades
Ability to teach nights and/or weekends

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Associate degree or higher in Electrical or Electronics or related field and relevant industry experience is preferred.
Industry recognized credentials and/or related work experience will also be considered.
NCCER and National Electrical Code certification as well as candidates with a good understanding of electronics and industrial controls is preferred.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret policies, procedures and governmental regulations.
Ability to write reports and business correspondence.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, instructors, students, and the public.
Ability to speak Spanish is preferred.
PHYSICIAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk and hear.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in indoor conditions and regularly works near video display.
The noise level in the work environment is typical to an office setting.
Occasional travel is required.
Evening and weekend hours may be required.
